My story
How I got here!
My journey started simply by starting to run back in February 2026. At that point, I didn't really have a goal or expectation of where this journey was going. I hit the milestones of 5k, pushed to a 10k on July 1st, and then, pushed by a friend on the Fourth of July, I ran my first-ever half marathon unprepared on July 5th. That led to the question of what you are training for. At that point, I had no plans, but I had a pool and a bike, and some friends were doing the Ironman 70.3. So I started training in July with the idea of the first being in April 2027, but the December 3rd event is beginner-friendly, so I thought, why not? I've progressed quickly through two unofficial sprints and signed up. With 18 weeks out I began training consistently and looking forward to an awesome finish! I couldn't do it without all the incredible support!
